Fresh meat packaging has one persistent challenge: purge and excess moisture released by the food during storage and retail display. LINHUA Moisture Retention Trays (MRT) are developed specifically to address this issue. Built on LINHUA's Turned Edge tray platform, MRT trays incorporate a specially designed network of moisture-retention cells in the tray base. Excess purge can be captured and retained within these cells, helping keep visible liquid away from the main product presentation area and creating a cleaner, more attractive retail pack. Unlike conventional fresh-meat packaging that relies on a separate absorbent soaker pad, the MRT design integrates moisture management directly into the tray structure. This creates the potential to reduce or eliminate the absorbent pad, simplifying the pack and reducing the number of packaging components. Made from PET, the trays combine structural strength with excellent product visibility. Together with LINHUA's turned-edge technology, the MRT range provides a practical packaging solution for fresh meat, poultry, fish and seafood.
