This is a fully hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol grade 1799, featuring a high degree of hydrolysis and polymerization for excellent film hardness and abrasion resistance. It is specifically designed for textile warp sizing of cotton and polyester yarns, reducing breakage and improving weaving efficiency on high-speed air jet looms. Fully hydrolyzed PVA has a hydrolysis degree of 99%+ and requires hot water to dissolve, while partially hydrolyzed PVA dissolves in cold water. Fully hydrolyzed grades form stronger films and are often used in textile sizing.
