Provides equal effective areas on both sides when identical rod diameters are used. Delivers approximately equal force in both movement directions. Provides equal extension and retraction speeds at the same hydraulic flow. Equal displacement volumes simplify symmetric hydraulic-circuit design. Through-rod construction improves piston alignment and resistance to side loading. Suitable for repeated reciprocating movement and bidirectional positioning. Both rod ends can connect to separate tools, linkages or machine components. Centered and offset stroke arrangements are available. Optional center-trunnion mounting supports oscillating and linkage-driven machinery. Optional cushioning controls impact at both ends of the stroke.
